Have you ever attended a craft show, boat/travel show, home show, or a sporting event and as you are walking through the exhibits you can smell the aroma of cinnamon and sugar? They get me EVERY time! Thanks to Joes's second cousin, now I can make my own!
(I just need to make some of those cool paper cones to put them in😀)
INGREDIENTS
- 2 Eggs (whites)
- 2 Tbl. Water
- 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
- 2 pounds (6ish cups) of Pecan Halves
- 2 Cups Granulated Sugar
- 2 tsp. of Salt
- 4 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 1 stick Unsalted Butter
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line a large jelly roll pan with aluminum foil.
- Combine egg whites, water and vanilla extract in a medium sized bowl and whisk until foamy.
- Pour pecan halves in a large bowl.
- Add egg white mixture to pecan halves and stir until well coated. Set aside.
5. In another bowl combine granulated sugar, salt and cinnamon. Pour the sugar mixture over moist pecans and stir to coat evenly.
7. Remove pan from oven and stir nuts into the melted butter. After mixing, spread the nuts evenly over the pan and bake for 25 minutes. Stir occasionally so they don't burn. Remove from oven and allow to cool directly on the pan. Try not to eat them all by yourself.
